By

There are many beautiful islands along Andalusia. Isla Cristina and Islantilla are just two of many islands which offer great sights and fun in Andalusia.

These islands are very private although they are easily accessible from Seville or Faro airports. Their beaches are soft and quiet although there are many comfortable resorts around; some of which boast of golf courses and modern amenities.

Beach Attractions
These islands may be seemingly on their own in their own private world but there is urbanization and fun on them. The mild climate gives over 3000 sunshine hours every year with a rich spread of gastronomic offerings that befit a true paradise in the midst of nature.

Islantilla has the best shade around with its circle of pine trees billowing over the Atlantic Ocean with natural landscapes offering panoramic views of the garden and golden beaches.

Golfers will enjoy the tranquility of Islantilla while trying their hand at their favorite game in one of the great courses found in southern Europe. Islantilla offers stunning golden beaches which are accorded the 'Q' status for the coveted Tourist Quality standing. The island also boasts of the coveted Blue Flag award on best beaches which is an European award as well as the Ecoplayas award.
Islantilla is the only beach in Andalusia with all these three coveted awards for its beaches.

La Antilla also offers beach facilities with its fine golden sand where it boasts of superb virgin beaches that are protected. There is over 7.5 miles of fine white sand in Rompido facing the blue Mediterranean Sea.
Park Attraction

Another natural beauty in Andalusia is the Doñana National Park at Guadalquivir River which covers over 50 hectares. This vast space makes it one of Spain's largest and most natural parks; it is well preserved as it has been declared and designated as a World Heritage Site. It now welcomes many feathery residents of the endangered kinds.
Doñana Park has a very organized ecosystem to encourage the great and unique biological diversity that is desired in Europe. It offers more than one type of ecosystem to cater to the varied species of flora and fauna. There are wetlands, forests, lakes, beaches, rivers, dunes, bays and mountains.

Its marshlands alone take on 27,000 hectares to encourage the heavy transit and wintering of African and European birds. These breed freely in the Donana National Park in the thousands.
The diversity in flora and fauna found in this park encompasses all types of species of living things from plants, fish, reptiles, amphibians and birds to mammals. One can enjoy the sighting of the rare and endangered golden eagle and Iberian lynx at the park.
